Adoption Pros will look over your dossier set to make sure that everything is correct, before it is translated, legalized, and mailed to Kyiv for filing with the SDAPRC. Assignment of the registration number for your case will complete your registration process with the Ukrainian officials.
12-24 months later, you will be invited to travel. The invitation letter may be either faxed to you or mailed at your home address.
You will then travel to Ukraine for an appointment with a social worker, who will match you with the child.
You will travel to the orphanage area together with your attorney/coordinator or his/her representative to meet the child assigned to you.
Once you approve the child's assignment, your documents will be submitted to the court.
Once the court decree is received, you will obtain the birth certificate and other documents for your child.
In Kyiv, your child will get a pre-visa physical before receiving visa to enter United States.
Two annual reports have to be sent to a Ukrainian Consulate in the US following your registration of the adopted child on your arrival home. Adoption Pros will provide details instructions on how to complete this part.
